It's no surprise that Mcfarlane Toys has revisited the oldest, original idea for an action figure - the military. And it's no surprise that they manage to bring something new to the party. I was skeptical about this line, but after picking up the Marine Corps Recon, I was very impressed. They'll have to get the military collectors to notice, but if they can, they just might have a hit on their hands.

BTW, today is the anniversary of the founding (1798) of the Marine Corps. Semper Fi, and no, I didn't plan that one.

The guest review is from Ridureyu and covers three of the Superhero Showdown figures - Doc Ock, Ghost Rider and the Punisher. Are they as good as the hype? Ridureyu fills you in! You can find all the reviews at the usual:

I'm wondering is the SHS figs will be compatible with Microman...meaning, could I put Doc Ock's arms on AcroCleve or whatnot...
could make for some interesting figs.

They are in scale I believe - saw a photo some place with punisher and batman, and they looked in scale.

Now, getting them on and off is a whole different story.

yeah, I know the scale's the same.

and the "Ock in pieces" pic you have makes his assembly look VERY similar to a Micro.

it's just a matter of "are the ball/socket joints the same size?".
time will tell...cuz I'll be gettin' some of these guys.
